Image Converter
Convert images between JPG, PNG and WebP — pick the format you need and the tool handles the rest, several files at a time. Each format has a job it does best, and one page that converts in any direction is more useful than hunting for the exact pairing you happen to need today.

How to convert an image
- Select your image (or several at once).
- Choose the format you want — JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Download the converted file.
When you'd use this
- Fussy upload forms — A site that accepts JPG but rejects PNG, or the other way around.
- Website images — Converting photographs to WebP to cut the weight of a page.
- Compatibility problems — Turning WebP images into JPG so older software can open them at all.
- Preparing graphics — Getting a logo into PNG so its transparency survives.
Good to know
- Three formats, three jobs — JPG for photographs, PNG for logos, screenshots and anything needing transparency, WebP for the smallest files on a website.
- JPG cannot keep transparency — Converting to JPG fills every transparent area with white, because the format has no way to store it.
- Very large pictures are scaled first — Images above roughly 16 megapixels are reduced to that size before conversion, which stops browsers running out of memory mid-job.
- WebP needs browser support to create — A small number of older browsers cannot save WebP. If yours cannot, the tool says so plainly rather than quietly handing you a different format.
Frequently asked questions
Which format should I choose?
JPG for ordinary photos, PNG when you need transparency or crisp graphics, WebP for smaller files at similar quality.
Does converting to JPG lose transparency?
Yes — JPG has no transparency, so see-through areas are filled with white before saving.
Which format should I choose?
JPG for photographs you want kept small. PNG when you need transparency, or perfectly sharp text and lines. WebP when the image is destined for a website and you want the smallest file at good quality.
Does converting lose quality?
Converting to PNG is lossless. JPG and WebP are saved at high quality but are lossy formats by nature, so repeatedly converting the same picture back and forth will slowly degrade it.
Can I convert many images in one go?
Yes. Select as many as you like and every one is converted to the format you picked.
