Image Cropper
Cut an image down to just the part you want. Drag a box over the picture to choose the area, and the tool saves exactly that region as a new file. Nothing outside the box is kept, and the original picture on your device is left completely untouched.

How to crop an image
- Select your image.
- Drag the box to the area you want, or set the exact pixels with the Left, Top, Width and Height fields — the arrow keys move and resize it too.
- Choose JPG or PNG and download the cropped result.
When you'd use this
- Tidying up a photo — Trimming away a cluttered background or a stray thumb at the edge of a shot.
- Profile pictures — Cutting a square headshot out of a much wider photograph.
- Photographed documents — Cropping the edges off a photographed page so only the paper remains.
- Screenshots — Keeping just the part of a screen capture that actually matters.
Good to know
- The box is exactly what you get — Whatever you drag is what gets saved. Adjust it before cropping — there is no undo once the file is produced.
- Pixels are kept, never stretched — The chosen area is saved at its original resolution, so nothing is enlarged or softened in the process.
- One picture at a time — Cropping is a hands-on job that needs a box drawn for each image, so this tool works on a single file per run.
- Your original is safe — A new file is created; the picture already on your device is not modified.
Frequently asked questions
Does cropping lose image quality?
No — the crop is taken from the original, full-resolution image, not from the smaller preview shown on screen.
Can I crop to an exact size in pixels?
Yes. After selecting an image, enter exact Left, Top, Width and Height values in original-image pixels. You can also focus the crop box and use arrow keys to move it, or hold Alt while pressing an arrow key to resize it.
Can I crop to a fixed shape, like a perfect square?
Not with a locked ratio here — the box is dragged freehand. If you need exact dimensions, such as a passport photograph, Passport Photo Maker crops to precise sizes for you.
Does cropping reduce the file size?
Usually yes, simply because there are fewer pixels left to store. If you need to hit a particular size in kilobytes, run the cropped image through Compress Image afterwards.
Can I crop several photos at once?
No. Each picture needs its own box drawn by hand, so they are handled one at a time.
